More Information About Our Trip To Malawi

Y-Malawi is a groundbreaking model for partnership between a growing number of churches in the US and frontline Christian organizations in Malawi, Africa. Together it provides community-wide, sustainable development and transformation in the areas of water and food security, healthcare, education, evangelism & discipleship, youth programs, and economic development, including micro-finance. For more information, check out www.y-malawi.org.

There are a number of ways to lend support:

#1 – Pray

The website provides a number of specific items that you can pray for each day. www.Y-malawi.org/pray.asp

#2 – Go on a trip

It isn’t just what you accomplish while there that makes it worthwhile. Rather, it is the relationships that are built, and the fact that seeing such poverty and hope changes you forever.

#3 – Sponsor a child

Getting to meet our two sponsored children was the highlight of the trip. When you sponsor a child, they receive direct benefits such as assistance with food, school uniforms and medical care. However, it goes much further than a single child because sponsorship money also goes toward providing clean water, schools, and numerous other services for the entire community.

#4 – Give

Y-malawi has a gift catalog for contributions ranging from a few dollars to thousands.

A missions trip does change your view point on so many things. Gratitude on living in the country we are in but also on seeing the Lord at work in so many places in the world. The big word you mentioned is hope! They have so little but are so happy in the Lord.
